Provisional restorations are a critical part of restorative therapy in creating and maintaining excellent health, beauty, and function prior to the completion of the final restorations. This lecture is designed to develop the fundamental skills of dental assistants in creating beautiful provisional restorations. This will include veneers, implants, & bridges. We will focus on how to transfer a beautiful digital design of a new smile to provisionals
Learning Objectives:
Review the fundamentals of dental anatomy, occlusion, and esthetics.
Learn techniques for full crowns, onlays, veneers, bridges, and implants.
Compare various provisional techniques, modifications, and repairs.
Become familiar with the instruments and materials needed to fabricate provisionals.
