An exceptional assistant duplicates the dentist that they partner with. This lecture will focus on the skills that allow an assistant to maximize their contribution to the practice. This high energy session will focus on the principles of bonding, composite resin materials, matrix systems, occlusion, esthetics, and polishing materials & techniques. We will use the class II composite as our model to build clinical knowledge and we will expand to other types of composite bonding as well. .You will leave this day with an expanded view of what is possible for you in your role as a chair side dental assistant, a leader in your practice, and an advocate for your patient.

The principles of adhesion & bonding.
Application and modifications of matrix systems.
How to create stable occlusal and functional contacts.
The material composition of different types of composite resins.
