Specialized sleep centers with scary sleep tests are becoming ‘the way it used to be done’ and simple, at-home testing is now the norm. However, some people still need the more complex tests. Patients and providers alike want to know if the chosen therapy is working. Today’s technology, and some on the horizon, allows the trained healthcare provider more access to overnight biosignals than ever before.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the various ways people can be assessed for sleep breathing problems, how the data is interpreted and the diagnosis made.
Assist their patients in monitoring their own health.
Make a plan to monitor personal biosignals to ensure an oral device or other therapy is working to help resolve sleep related breathing disorders.
