Practices that are largely independent of PPO provider contracts can offer the latest science in their hygiene departments and receive significant economic benefits. This course contrasts the offering of services in dental hygiene departments that are PPO based and Insurance Independent based.

Learning Objectives:

  • Upon completion, the participant will be able to see how contracted PPO pricing and associated limitations combine to diminish profitability in many private practice dental hygiene departments.
  • Upon completion, the participant will be able to understand how to optimally deliver dental hygiene services in an insurance independent practice.
  • Upon completion, the participant will be able to optimize communication among team members, and ethical communication with patients, to maximize dental hygiene department success.
