CE: 3 CE Credits
Primary Audience(s): Dentist
Additional Audience(s): Hygienist
In the last several years, there has been an explosion in the number of new endodontic file systems introduced, with most manufacturers making claims of superiority for their design or metallurgy. With all of the confusion and misinformation around what might be the “best endodontic file”, it is increasingly difficult for practitioners to make informed choices about which design features can achieve the best clinical outcomes. This hands-on course will provide a comprehensive review of glide path management strategies. An evidence-based review of cutting-edge instrumentation options with special emphasis on instrument design and mechanical movements will be covered. Additionally, enhanced irrigation protocols will be explored along with state-of-the-art obturation techniques allowing clinicians to do better more efficient endodontics.
Learning Objectives:
The importance of glide path management and the benefits of creating a reproducible and enhanced glide path with a single rotary instrument, while preserving maximum dentin for restoration and function.
The design features and working characteristics of the most commonly used root canal instrumentation systems and their impact on clinical efficiency and predictability.
To place the most biologically sound, dense and repeatable three-dimensional filling in any root canal anatomy.
