Dr. Hiba Qari earned her dental degree from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She subsequently pursued advanced education in the United States, completing a Master of Science at Tufts University and obtaining her Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology certificate from Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. Most recently, Dr. Qari has augmented her credentials with a PhD in Higher Education. For seven years, Dr. Qari served as an Assistant Professor and Director of the Biopsy Service at West Virginia University School of Dentistry. During her tenure, she successfully expanded the biopsy service from a state-wide to a nationwide operation. Her excellence in teaching was recognized with two distinguished teaching awards. Currently, Dr. Qari holds the position of Associate Professor and Director of the Biopsy Service in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Washington. Her academic interests focus on enhancing student learning and collaborating with dental care providers to improve patient outcomes through increased oral cancer awareness. Dr. Qari's multifaceted background, spanning clinical expertise, research, and education, uniquely positions her to contribute significantly to the field of oral pathology and dental education.
